  • There is an increased risk of teratogenicity associated with the use of anti-epileptic drugs (AEDs). Therefore, additional barrier methods are suggested for women in child bearing age in order to prevent pregnancy.

  • Folic acid 5mg daily is taken prior to pregnancy in epilepsy.
